If you are keen to get a club started, go along and see the Sport and Activities Coordinator at the Recreation Centre. The coordinator is there to advise on anything and everything from finding sponsorship to finding storage space. The coordinator is there to help ALL clubs, and is keen to see the existing clubs develop further and to help get new ones off to a good start.Once you’ve rallied a group of. keen clubbers, drop into the Recreation Centre and pick up a copy of. The Handbook – the first essential piece of. equipment your club will need before getting started. The next step is to elect a committee and then affiliate your club to MUSA.

After you’ve done that, you’ll have access to

  • club grants
  • financial support and advice
  • training workshops (planning and running events, etc)
  • administration advice and assistance
  • use of. the Student Association building and student media
  • time allocation in sport halls and fields
  • hire of. the Events Centre and Recreation Centre and lots more
  • eligibility to enter Student City Arts and Cultural Awards
  • one-off events & competitions
