What is MUSA?

MUSA is your independent Massey University Student Association

We are run by students for students. One of our goals is to ensure that you have the best time possible while at University. MUSA is a completely separate entity from Massey the academic institution, though we often work in partnership with Massey to achieve positive results for you, the students. We have experienced a significant number of changes in University Education since we were incorporated in 1935, you can imagine. Since then, MUSA has been representing students and fighting for their rights.

The two MUSA branches:

  • MUSA’s student-run executive focuses on promoting student issues at university, city, regional and national level, and oversees the governance of the organisation. (The 2016 MUSA President is Nikita Skipper.) The executive listens to you, informs you about relevant and important news and issues and organizes annual AGMs and MUSA elections. As well as all that, the executive fulfills the legal governance requirements which are part of being an incorporated society. The MUSA Exec is offering students MUSA Premium Membership: Read all about the benefits for you and your wallets of becoming a MUSA Premium Member!
